Our Director

The multi-talented Marshall Ramirez has been the director of the Welsh Choir since 2018.  Maestro Ramirez brings a wealth of musical experience to his post.  In addition to conducting, he has been a vocal performer for many years.  As a founding member of The Doodletown Pipers, Ramirez toured extensively, opening for many well-known performers.  He has also performed with Los Angeles Opera and Los Angeles Master Chorale.  

In addition to his duties with the Welsh Choir, Marshall is also the Music Director at Westchester Lutheran Church & School, where he has conducted performances of “The Messiah” for over 30 years; and is the Music Director of the Phoenix Club Gemischter Chor of Anaheim.

Our Accompanist

Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Hyun Jung Han received her Bachelor of Music from Seoul National University, Master of Music from CSU, Fullerton, and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from USC Thornton School of Music. She has received scholarships from Universities and awards from many competitions, and was also elected to Pi Kappa Lambda, a National Music Honor Society.

Dr. Han has performed in numerous concerts as a soloist and an accompanist with singers and instrumentalists. As a member and adjudicator of MTAC and SYMF, she has taught students through private studio, and her students have received top honors in many festivals and competitions. Her interest in accompaniment for choirs has led her to work as a staff accompanist at Colleges and Choirs such as Kook Je Opera Association, Korean Christian Chamber Choir, Levite Men’s Choir, Los Angeles Community Chorale, Seoul National University Chorale, and Kyunggi Women’s Choir, Churches, and as a current accompanist for the Welsh Choir.
